It has been more than 10 years since I got to know Chinese Restaurant News. Since I first picked up a copy of the magazine, a lot has changed. CRN was printed in black and white, initially. After attending the very successful 2008 Top 100 ceremony, I felt so proud to be a Chinese restaurant operator.

For Chinese restaurants in the Unites States, the Top 100 ceremony has been quite meaningful since it promotes Chinese culture as well as improves business development. During the ceremony, I met a few celebrities such as Martin Yan, the Mayor of Las Vegas, the Director of NRA, and Miss Asia International.

The whole procedure was arranged efficiently. The business ideas proposed, operating patterns and systemization were really useful and referential for our future and caused me to pause and reflect a while.

In my personal opinions the organizers may consider to set aside more time to discuss restaurants’ preparations and improvements. The organizers can also suggest the restaurateurs come to the awards ceremony with their own menu for communication and reference.

Opened in 2000, Best China has been pleasing the locals with tasty food, attentive service and comfy ambiance for a decade. It offers dine-in and take-out services to better serve its regular and new customers alike.

The clean modern look of Best China fits nicely in an up-market mall setting. Bold white letters welcome diners. The interior's pastel shaded walls of pistachio and canary yellow welcome springtime all year round. Booths adorned with a floral print are offset by Chinese styled flower arrangements strategically arranged around the restaurant. Moreover, the lively atmosphere is balanced by soothing Chinese classical music playing in the background.

This enchanting establishment serves Americanized Chinese fare to cater to the locals’ taste bud. As for those for carving for authentic Chinese food, deft chefs at Best China will never let them down. Its encyclopedia-like menu includes over one hundred items, ranging from appetizer, soups, fried rice, chow mein to varied kinds of poultry, beef, pork and seafood entrees. Out of all these amazing delicacies, Happy Family, Sesame Chicken and Salty Chicken receives the loudest applause. The skilled chef turns each seemingly ordinary menu item into flavorful culinary rendition that delights even the most finicky foodie.

Having run Best China for ten years, owner Mr. Li has gained a wealth of experience and knows the importance of making sure his restaurant boasts “3B”: best food, best service and best price. These are the key reasons why customers come back again and again. Though it’s very difficult to maintain perfect score in each area, Best China is well on its way.
